Tunisie-Tribune ( AURAK ) – The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) hosted the AURAK Job Fair 2019 to encourage interactions between job market employers, AURAK students, and Ras Al Khaimah residents seeking employment opportunities.
AURAK, an independent, public, state-owned, non-profit, coeducational institution offering undergraduate and graduate degrees based on the North American model and the cultural characteristics of the Gulf region, hosted a two-day job fair, providing opportunities for company representatives and job seekers, both students and Ras Al Khaimah residents, to interact, attracting company representatives from both the governmental and private sector and job seekers from all across the Northern Emirates, including students from several other universities. It was organized by the AURAK School of Engineering and sponsored by the Public Services Department, Majan Printing and Packaging Co. LLC, the Al Nuami Group, Rak Tourism Development Authority, Human Resources Department, and Education for Employment. Students and Ras al Khaimah residents alike milled through various professional booths set up by the Public services Department, Majan Printing and Packaging Co. LLC, the Al Nuaimi Groupj, Rak Tourism, the Accountants and Auditors Association, Mashreq Bank, Arab Bank, Smile Care Medical Center, Jotech Paints, Talal Abu Ghazaleh Organization, and the Al Hamra Group, dispersing resumes, discussing job vacancies with professional representatives, and practicing job interviewing skills.
AURAK President, Professor Hassan Hamdan Al Alkim, was delighted with the AURAK 2019 Job Fair in that it allowed for open communication between several local and regional employers and current AURAK students and Alumni and individuals seeking employment opportunities, “I am thrilled to see this event take place every year. Students should maximize their time at this event since it gives them face time with employers and the chance to consider multiple industries simultaneously. This event is your opportunity, I tell them, to make a positive and lasting impression of your skills and experiences. You will be rewarded for your efforts.”
AURAK is a nonprofit, government-owned institution of higher education which provides the local, regional and international communities with a North American-style education integrated with Arabic customs and traditions. AURAK is licensed by the Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates and has been accredited in the United States of America by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) since December 2018. AURAK offers a total of 22 accredited undergraduate and graduate programs across a wide range of disciplines.
